Pines Crossing Golf Course, an 18-hole public golf destination between Auburn and Opelika, Alabama, is known for its outstanding play and scenic beauty. Recognized by Golf Digest in 2005 as part of Auburn's designation as the "best golf city in America," this course continues to impress golfers of all skill levels.
Recently redesigned by renowned golf course architect Bill Bergin, Pines Crossing features a par 72 layout spanning 7,031 yards, complete with TifEagle greens and TifTuf fairways. The course offers multiple tee options to accommodate players of varying abilities, along with a newly upgraded practice facility and short game area—one of the best in Alabama.
Originally acquired by the cities of Auburn and Opelika in 1976, Pines Crossing has been municipally operated ever since. Following a fire that destroyed the original clubhouse, a modern facility was built in 2006. Today, the course proudly hosts the Bill Hall Memorial Invitational, a prestigious amateur tournament that attracts around 200 participants.
